ACI Kurdistan Chapter Technically Sponsors Major Symposium on Resilient & Sustainable Structures [...]
[Erbil, Iraq – January 29, 2026] — The ACI Kurdistan Chapter is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the high-level technical symposium titled "Sustainable, Resilient and Earthquake Resistant Structures: Lessons from Past Events and Future Prospects." Held on January 28, 2026, at the Tishk International University (TIU) campus, this landmark event brought together the region’s academic and engineering leaders to bridge the gap between research and industrial application.
The event was a testament to the unity of the Kurdistan Region's engineering community. It was jointly organized by Civil Engineering Department/Faculty of Engineering at Tishk International University, the University of Sulaimani, Erbil Polytechnic University, Salahaddin University-Erbil, and the University of Raparin. As the Technical Sponsor, the ACI Kurdistan Chapter ensured that the content met the rigorous global standards of the American Concrete Institute.
