University of Duhok (UOD)
ACI Students Chapter for the College of Engineering-University was established; this chapter was approved by American Concrete Institute (ACI) and supported by ACI Kurdistan Chapter. Dr. James Haido, the Dean of the College and a member of the ACI-Kurdistan Chapter established this chapter to introduce the students to the international community of concrete design and learn about its recent development. The students who are interested in civil engineering fields and concrete innovations are in the chapter and they are appointed to the chapter board who manage the chapter's activities such as seminars, competitions, and other related to concrete design topics. Students in this department's third and fourth years can participate in these activities.
The deanery of the College of Engineering is usually encouraging all engineering departments to have the same activities to build our student's capacity in the direction of internationalizing the learning programs, leadership, connections and getting funds from industry.
