University of Salahaddin- Erbil (SUE)

Student Chapter

We are part of the American Concrete Institute, which was founded in 1904 and is headquartered in the United States. ACI has chapters in more than 100 countries, including the ACI Kurdistan Chapter, headed by Dr. Sirwan Khurshid.

As the Salahaddin University–Erbil ACI Student Chapter, we are part of the ACI Kurdistan Chapter, and Mr. Barzan Mawlood serves as our chapter advisor. Over the years, we have continuously expanded our activities with greater effort, improved organization, and more impactful programs for students.

The scientific awareness and professional development of our students have significantly advanced. We have also strengthened connections among students from different universities through a variety of activities, including scientific visits to construction projects, investment companies, and laboratories, as well as competitions, panel discussions, and seminars.

It is worth mentioning that in 2022, 2023, and 2025, our chapter was recognized in the general ACI rankings for Outstanding University Student Chapters. We were honored to be among the student chapters of the ACI Kurdistan Chapter that received this award alongside some of the top student chapters worldwide.
