Short Bio: Assistant Professor Dr. Botan Majeed Ahmad AL-Hadad is Vice President for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs at Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU). He has served as an academic since 1995 and previously held the position of Dean of Erbil Technology College. He earned his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 2011, focusing on innovative highway alignment optimization techniques. His research interests include. Dr. AL-Hadad has supervised numerous MSc and PhD students and worked as a consultant engineer on construction and materials projects in the Kurdistan Region, particularly in Erbil, emphasizing sustainable engineering solutions.

About Aci-Kurdistan Chapter

The ACI chapter of Kurdistan is a recently establisehd branch of ACI, which cover the geographic region of the southern kurdistan which so called (Iraqi Kurdistan region). The main goal of the chapter is to merge our knowledge about the concrete with the most recent standards and specifications. Also, the Kurdistan chapter makes a strong tie between the universities across the Kurdistan region.
