On Wednesday, the 19th of February 2025, in the city of Baghdad, esteemed individuals including Dr. Dalshad Kakasur Jaf, President of the Kurdistan Chapter, Dr. Sirwan Khorshid, Vice President of the Kurdistan Chapter, Dr. Omar Qarani Aziz, Dr. Sirwan Khidr Mulla, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Omar, and engineers Heman Omar, Muhammad Najad, and Ali Rizgar participated in the ceremony for electing the board of directors of the Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete.
It is noteworthy that professors from various universities across Iraq, engineers from both the public and private sectors, and several experts in the field attended the ceremony.
This society has obtained its license from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education under Directive No. 55 of 1981. The society plays a significant scientific role in the field of concrete by organizing specialized courses, preparing specific specifications, proposing and collaborating with both public and private sectors for this purpose, enhancing the capabilities of engineers and their expertise in the design and supervision of concrete projects, assisting concrete production companies, and supporting ministries in any matter related to the field of concrete.
